Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented NICET III Construction Inspector for a full-time position. The Construction Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction inspection, quality assessment, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with building codes, project specifications, and safety standards.
- Perform quality assessments and identify any deviations from approved plans and specifications.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, deficiencies, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project quality.
- Review project documentation, including blueprints, contracts, and permits, to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, building codes, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Level III certification in a relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in construction inspection, quality control, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and standards.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools, software, and digital reporting platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in civil, transportation, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local construction regulations.
- Additional certifications in related fields (e.g., OSHA, ACI).
